Abstract:

Chiefly glass slides taken in California, Europe, Mexico, Bali, South America and elsewhere. Material was in SF Examiner offices and is apparently amateur photography taken by Hearst family members or close associates during international travels and nearer home. Subjects noted include the Panama-Pacific International Exposition (1915), the Golden Gate International Exposition (1939), "the ranch" (unknown), Monterey (1919), Death Valley, Glacier Park, Hawaii (1926), New Mexico (1928), "Loyola", Chicago (1937), Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Panama Canal (1935), South America (Chile, La Paz), Europe and the UK (in 1909 and later trips), Hong Kong and China, New Zealand and Australia, India, and Ceylon.
